Policy Statement on Privatization and Subcontracting Programs
Amend by addition in Section 7 of Definitions, page 7, line 39:
…. with the same or substantially equivalent compensation, benefits, and working conditions.
Amend by addition in Section B.4 of Principles, page 9, line 26:
…. and any other program that simply replaces public education employees with private-sector employees. NEA opposes the use of private-sector companies that are hostile to labor unions or that interfere with employees in the exercise of their right to organize and bargain collectively.
