Strategic Change: ESSA Implementation

NCLB is Gone, ESSA Is Here! How Does It Impact My Job?

Come participate in our interactive breakout sessions, listen to expert panelists and special guests, learn specifics about ESSA implementation, win raffle prizes and more! Lunch provided.

This year Empowered Educators Day is partnering with the NEA Center for Governance to incorporate the NEA Leadership Competencies into this professional development opportunity. At the Plenary Session you will receive a brief overview of how NEA is incorporating these competencies into your professional development experiences. During breakout sessions, presenters will highlight how session content helps to support your leadership journey through the Leadership Competencies.

Downloadable copies of the NEA Leadership Competencies Guide can be found in the Plenary Session Resource Section at the bottom of this page. We encourage you to reach out to Dave Schultz, dschultz@nea.org, for additional information on NEA’s Leadership Development Competencies.
