The National Education Association will make available, through existing digital media, a resolution such as the one found on the National Center for Lesbian Rights webpage ( to all state and local affiliates in support of the Equality Act that will expand protections based on gender identity, sex, and sexual orientation, assuring that all are offered equal protection from discrimination. 


While the US Supreme Court solidified marriage equality in all 50 states, many LGBTQ+ Americans still face discrimination in their daily lives. Some states have invoked Religious Freedom Restoration Acts or similar legislation to discriminate against the LGBTQ+ community.
