The NEA will publicize, through existing channels, inadequate compensation for educators. Compensation must be commensurate with their level of education and/or experience. in this field, so that they can afford to live comfortably where they work.

Rationale/Background

Appropriate compensation will improve educators' performance, recruitment, retention, and attendance.  Students deserve and require the full attention of their educators and need stability in their learning environment in order to succeed.
