Come Support Educators, Students and Families to Create Art for Public Education

July 3-5, 2019 in Exhibit Hall B Delegate Experience Area of the George R. Brown Convention Center

Since the spring of 2018, the “Red for Ed” movement has swept across the country. Hundreds of thousands of educators, just like you, are finding their voice and strength by banding together to fight for the values they and their students deserve. Recent Art Build events have taken place in support of NEA affiliates that have advocated for better protections, rights, and standards through massive public actions. These events are the physical manifestation of NEA’s institutional priorities, including:

  • lifting educator voice
  • smaller class sizes
  • limits on testing
  • higher pay
  • engaging new and early career educators
  • challenging social and racial injustices
  • Anti-privatization policy changes

At the upcoming 2019 RA, we’d love to have you join with us and show us what fighting for the education profession means to you! From July 3-5, 2019 in Exhibit Hall B Delegate Experience Area of the George R. Brown Convention Center, NEA members and their families can make their own graphic depictions of collective action. From protest signs, to inspiration banners of change, we’d love to see what inspires you to take action in support of public education.

We hope that you can join with us! In solidarity with the theme of the 2019 RA: “Our Democracy. Our Responsibility. Our Time.”
